Calcutta Girls’ B.T. College has consistently organized a wide range of academic, cultural, social, and extension activities to promote holistic development among students and strengthen community engagement.

The institution conducted several awareness programmes, including a Sensitisation Programme on the Evils of the Dowry System, an Investment Awareness Programme, a Credit Card Awareness Programme, and an Awareness Programme on Thalassemia organized by IQAC. A special Seminar on Gender and Education: Issues and Perspectives was also organized by IQAC on 17th December 2025 to encourage critical discussion on contemporary educational and social concerns.

The college actively celebrated important cultural and national events such as International Mother Language Day (মাতৃভাষা দিবস), International Yoga Day, and Teachers’ Day. It also commemorated the patriotic legacy of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and the inspiring spirit of “Vande Mataram”. A Seminar on Cultural Diversity was organized to foster understanding and appreciation of India’s multicultural heritage.

Students enthusiastically participated in creative writing competitions, singing competitions, self-defence training programmes, and various co-curricular activities aimed at enhancing confidence, creativity, communication skills, and overall personality development.

As part of Students’ Week celebrations, Day 7 featured an inspiring Debate Session and the Smt. Joystna Biswas Memorial Quiz Competition held at Latika Gupta Hall. These events encouraged knowledge acquisition, critical thinking, analytical ability, and public speaking skills among students.

The college also organized an Induction Programme for the 1st Year Session 2025–2027 to familiarize newly admitted students with the academic environment, institutional values, facilities, and opportunities available within the college.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of the college undertook a community outreach visit to its adopted village, Gunjirpur, Mathurapur, on 16th January 2026. During the visit, NSS volunteers conducted awareness programmes on health, hygiene, sanitation, environmental cleanliness, and Nipa virus prevention. They also distributed school kits among village children to support education and promote social welfare.

The institution celebrated democratic participation by congratulating the successful candidates of the 2025 College Students’ Election and encouraging them to uphold the values of responsible leadership, transparency, unity, and service to the student community.

Through these diverse initiatives, Calcutta Girls’ B.T. College continues to nurture socially responsible, culturally aware, academically enriched, and empowered future educators and citizens.
