Information and Communication Technology is the foundation of modern-day teacher education. To train future educators, our college includes technology in both how we teach our trainee-teachers and their use of technology in the teaching-learning process.
Along with traditional teaching modules, teachers use PowerPoint presentations to enhance digital learning. Sometimes programs like counselling sessions, awareness programs and other such activities are conducted through Google Classroom to create a model of blended learning.
Students are encouraged to use ICT in day-to-day teaching-learning modules. They participate in online programs and learn to build interactive lessons using specialized educational technologies. Students design multimedia presentations, make use of instructional videos and extensively use our fully automated digital library.
Students are required to create PowerPoint presentations in the following courses/papers:
Students also use technology in the presentation of simulated lessons and peer teaching sessions. They learn extensively about ICT and its uses in day-to-day classroom teaching through Course 1.4 EPC 3 (Critical Understanding of ICT).
